The PoolWarden demo is a two pool chemical controller that is monitoring the ControlOMatic test pool and spa. The pool is a 33,000 gallon above ground pool that the ChlorSimple is being developed on and the spa has been used for the development of the ColorChlor, TechniChlor, and ChlorMaker spa chlorine generators since 2005. Spa Chlorine Generators

The revolutionary new saltwater chlorine generators, ColorChlor® and TechniChlor have been specifically designed as a spa chlorine generator and takes into effect the higher water temperature and smaller water volume than above ground pools. These portable and easy to use electronic chlorine generators automatically sanitize spa and hot tub water by converting skin softening saltwater into sanitizing chlorine. This eliminates the time and need to store and pour traditional liquid or tablet sanitizing products. There are no buttons, no moving parts, no separate control boxes or timers. These products are so easy to use! Simply program each model to one of ten chlorine generation power levels based on spa size and usage, and they'll take care of the rest. Product installation is simple and requires no equipment modification. A GFI or GFCI protected outlet is all you need.

Above Ground Pool Chlorine Generators

The ChlorSimple above ground pool chlorine generator has been designed with the same easy to install technology as the spa chlorine generators. Simply add salt to the above ground pool, plug in the ChlorSimple and drape it over the side into the water to enjoy the benefits that in-ground pool owners have had for over 30 years. The ChlorSimple is the big brother of the TechniChlor without light shows and the ChlorSimple Ultra is the big brother of the ColorChlor, with light shows. Since most above ground pools do not have lights adding the ChlorSimple Ultra lets you take care of the sanitizer while making your pool fun at night.

Pure Sea Salt and Mineral Salts

ControlOMatic now has three types of salt. Sonoma pure sea salt from the coast of California, Dead Sea salt from Israel to turn your Spa or Hot Tub into a mineral bath and pink Himalayan salt with 84 minerals. When adding a spa chlorinator why not make your spa a mineral bath at the same time.

Pool and Spa Chemical Automation

Back in 1994 a company called Acu-Trol came out with the AK1000, the first 2 pool controller with a built in modem as standard. Since ControlOMatic was founded by the same inventor there is now the PoolWarden, a 2 pool controller with WIFI as standard. The Internet has become so widespread that WIFI is the clear choice for communication support as most commercial establishments have it and it is low cost. The PoolWarden supports temperature, pH, ORP and a special free chlorine sensor. The PoolWarden single pool version has 3 output relays and the two pool version has 6.

When adding a salt chlorine generator a very common question which is answered in our FAQs is how much salt to add. It will seem like a lot by weight but ends up being less than 10% that of sea water.

We usually hear about saltwater pools but when using a saltwater chlorine generator you can also use bromine salt (sodium bromide). If you don’t want to use sodium chloride you can use sodium bromide with the ColorChlor and TechniChlor, but sodium bromide is much more expensive.
